Brushes/Surfaces
These are products I own and use.
- Master’s Touch White Taklon Bristle Brushes – various types.
- Master’s Touch Synthetic Hog-hair Liner Brush size 2.
- Master’s Touch Brown Taklon Filbert brush pack of 10.
- Wet N Wild Blush Brush (used as a mop brush).
Master’s Touch is a Hobby Lobby brand. While their brushes are in expensive, they work beautifully.
Although I have not yet tried it, Fredrick’s Belgian Linen Pro canvas and Fredrick’s Blue Lable canvas are highly recommended. I do plan to order some and give them a try.

Chinook
Contrast is Key
In 2019, Chinook, an Eastern Screech Owl from the Raptor Recovery Center, was my very first acrylic painting.
Along with contrast, reflective light color was likewise important to make Chinook appear to be “in” the scene, not just painted onto the scene.
